Director Patty Jenkins and star Gal Gadot are both set to return for a sequel to the recent Wonder Woman 1984. This upcoming third installment will be the conclusion of the Wonder Woman movie trilogy. Here’s the official statement from Warner Bros. chief per credit of Variety.com:
“As fans around the world continue to embrace Diana Prince, driving the strong opening weekend performance of ‘Wonder Woman 1984,’ we are excited to be able to continue her story with our real life Wonder Women — Gal and Patty — who will return to conclude the long-planned theatrical trilogy,” said Warner Bros. chief Toby Emmerich.
Wonder Woman 1984 released on both the HBO max streaming service as well as in movie theaters despite the delays it received due to the ongoing Covid -19 pandemic. Hopefully when the third movie releases we’ll be back to a “normal world” and be able to enjoy the finale in theaters. Let us know your thoughts!
