Doctor Strange Joins Fortnite

Fortnite has rolled out its second season for its third chapter. Chapter three began a couple months ago and had a heavy focus on Spider-Man. The game introduced web slingers as a weapon along with a daily bugle section of the map. The map also features bungie jump webs around the map where players can hop across the scenery by touching the webs; bouncing from rooftop to rooftop.

The new season is bringing in a number of changes. One of the big changes is the removal of the ability to build structures from the mined materials that players pick up. The absence of building means players will have to rely on aiming, strafing, tactical planning and knowledge of the terrain. The new map will also bring in another brand new battle pass that fans can purchase in order to unlock many more costumes, characters as well as items.

The image above was taken from the trailer and as many can see Iron Man is also pictured above along with what looks like Black Widow. The new season is set to be focused around the new Doctor Strange sequel film similar to how the last season was released as partial promotion for the release of the Spider-Man No Way Home movie.

The new season will potentially last just as long as the last which was about 3 months. There’s no telling if it will bring any more surprises or even tie ins with upcoming projects such as Moon Knight. It would also be interesting to see if Batman makes another appearance with a Robert Pattinson version from the film released by Matt Reeves. Make sure to play the game while you can and be sure to let us know your thoughts!

Batman The Long Halloween Part One

This June, we’ll be getting a new Batman animated movie. This one revolves around the holiday killer but expect to see a good amount of Batman’s rogue gallery such as: Catwoman, Harvey Dent, Solomon Grundy, The Joker and Falcone to name a few! The animation of this looks really good and the art style is very crisp. Here’s the official description per credit of DC:

Inspired by the iconic mid-1990s DC story from Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale, Batman: The Long Halloween, Part One begins as a brutal murder on Halloween prompts Gotham’s young vigilante, the Batman, to form a pact with the city’s only two uncorrupt lawmen (Police Captain James Gordan and District Attorney Harvey Dent) in order to take down The Roman, head of the notorious and powerful Falcone Crime Family. But when more deaths occur on Thanksgiving and Christmas, it becomes clear that, instead of ordinary gang violence, they’re also dealing with a serial killer – the identity of whom, with each conflicting clue, grows harder to discern. Few cases have ever tested the wits of the World’s Greatest Detective like the mystery behind the Holiday Killer.

Be sure to catch this when it comes to digital & blu-ray on June 22, 2021!

Justice League Variant Cover Reveals Martian Manhunter’s ‘SnyderVerse’ Look

Justice League #59 received different variant covers for the upcoming issue that tease Martian Manhunter’s look for the upcoming Snyder cut of Justice League. It was revealed that Harry Lennix portrayed an undercover, J’onn J’onzz in the Man of Steel and was unable to reprise his role due to scheduling conflicts during the filming of the original Justice League. Now with the recent reshoots, Lennix was able to be apart of the new scenes that were filmed so here’s hoping that we get to see a live action portrayal of the alien superhero.

Regarding the variant cover, we get an idea of how J’onzz will look. He has a lot more of an angular look than the rounded look many are familiar with from the cartoons. This look appears to be more comic inspired which is a welcomed surprise for many. Justice League #59 will be released on March 16 which is two days before the Snyder cut releases. Take a look at the cover below and let us know your thoughts!

Zack Snyder Discusses Superman’s Black Suit

In an interview with ComicBook Debate Zack Snyder discussed the importance of Superman’s black suit in his upcoming cut of his Justice League movie which a portion can be read below:

“I really was always a very strong advocate for the black suit… I really wanted the black suit and it made sense for me because — it’s exactly as you say — Superman, as a character, notoriously does not grow. He’s like a rock and everything just smashes against him and then we learn, by trying to change a thing that’s unchangeable so that we can learn about ourselves, (and) that’s sort of the old way, the old Superman.”

“I really felt like my Superman…has to sort of level up and sort of learn something and be something different because in the end, the idea is that, or what I had planned was that, the…final step for Superman is kind of his real return, or his real coming into, what I would consider almost the classic Superman,”

“I really was always excited about using the black suit to kind of lock us in to…when he goes from the black suit to the red and blue suit (and) what that means… You can’t just be like, ‘oh now let’s put him in the blue suit, now let’s put him in the black suit.’ It’s like, ‘no, that’s not cool.”

New God of War Comic

God of War: Fallen God is a new comic from Dark Horse that ties the events from the God of War trilogy to the latest (2018) entry. The first issue will drop March 10, 2021 with the team of writer Chris Roberson, artist Tony Parker, letter John Roshell and colorist Dan Jackson.

Fans have been eagerly waiting for the answers of how Kratos ended up in the Norse Mythology as the original series took place in the Greek mythology. Here’s the premise from the comic publisher:

After conquering Zeus and thwarting Athena, Kratos believes himself to be finally free from his bondage. He sets sail for the desert in an attempt to distance himself from his home and his shame only to find his rage and guilt follow close behind. Kratos rages against the one foe that has proven to be unconquerable–himself. But a war against oneself is un-winnable, and only invites madness.

Notice on the cover Kratos is walking away but his blades are dragging him behind, tied to him / always following. It’s signifying of his dark past that he’s trying to escape from as the premise points out. Little details as that should prove for this to be a series worth checking out. Let us know your thoughts!

Superman And Lois (2021) CW Trailer

The Cw’s upcoming series Superman and Lois has finally got its first trailer! The trailer doesn’t have any footage from the show but it does have great artwork that sets the tone for what the series will bring to DC’s television universe. This show will premiere next year on February 23, 2021. Below is the trailer as well as the official press release per credit of CBR.

In SUPERMAN & LOIS, after years of facing megalomaniacal supervillains, monsters wreaking havoc on Metropolis, and alien invaders intent on wiping out the human race, the world’s most famous superhero, The Man of Steel aka Clark Kent (Tyler Hoechlin, “Teen Wolf”) and comic books’ most famous journalist, Lois Lane (Elizabeth Tulloch, “Grimm”), come face to face with one of their greatest challenges ever – dealing with all the stress, pressures and complexities that come with being working parents in today’s society.

Complicating the already daunting job of raising two boys, Clark and Lois must also concern themselves with whether or not their sons Jonathan (Jordan Elsass, “Little Fires Everywhere”) and Jordan (Alexander Garfin, “The Peanuts Movie”) could inherit their father’s Kryptonian superpowers as they grow older. Returning to Smallville to handle some Kent family business, Clark and Lois are reacquainted with Lana Lang (Emmanuelle Chriqui, “Entourage”), a local loan officer who also happens to be Clark’s first love, and her Fire Chief husband Kyle Cushing (Erik Valdez, “Graceland”). The adults aren’t the only ones rediscovering old friendships in Smallville as the Kent sons are reacquainted with Lana and Kyle’s rebellious daughter, Sarah (Inde Navarrette, “Wander Darkly”).

Of course, there’s never a dull moment in the life of a superhero, especially with Lois’ father, General Samuel Lane (Dylan Walsh, “Nip/Tuck”) looking for Superman to vanquish a villain or save the day at a moment’s notice. Meanwhile, Superman and Lois’ return to idyllic Smallville is set to be upended when a mysterious stranger (Wolé Parks, “All American”) enters their lives. Based on the characters from DC created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, SUPERMAN & LOIS is written and executive produced by Todd Helbing (“The Flash”) and executive produced by Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, Geoff Johns. The series is from Berlanti Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television.

Wonder Woman 1984 released on both the HBO max streaming service as well as in movie theaters despite the delays it received due to the ongoing Covid -19 pandemic. The trailer for Loki shows him encountering the TVA (Time Variance Authority) whose goal is to keep the timeline in check before things mess up badly. This Loki is the earlier Loki who we saw grab the Tesseract during the time travel scene in Avengers Endgame.
