Doctor Strange Joins Fortnite

Fortnite has rolled out its second season for its third chapter. Chapter three began a couple months ago and had a heavy focus on Spider-Man. The game introduced web slingers as a weapon along with a daily bugle section of the map. The map also features bungie jump webs around the map where players can hop across the scenery by touching the webs; bouncing from rooftop to rooftop.

The new season is bringing in a number of changes. One of the big changes is the removal of the ability to build structures from the mined materials that players pick up. The absence of building means players will have to rely on aiming, strafing, tactical planning and knowledge of the terrain. The new map will also bring in another brand new battle pass that fans can purchase in order to unlock many more costumes, characters as well as items.

The image above was taken from the trailer and as many can see Iron Man is also pictured above along with what looks like Black Widow. The new season is set to be focused around the new Doctor Strange sequel film similar to how the last season was released as partial promotion for the release of the Spider-Man No Way Home movie.

The new season will potentially last just as long as the last which was about 3 months. There’s no telling if it will bring any more surprises or even tie ins with upcoming projects such as Moon Knight. It would also be interesting to see if Batman makes another appearance with a Robert Pattinson version from the film released by Matt Reeves. Make sure to play the game while you can and be sure to let us know your thoughts!

Marvel President Says Doctor Strange Has ‘Become the Anchor’ of the MCU

Benedict Cumberbatch is known for many roles but as far as Marvel goes, he plays the fan favorite Doctor Strange. Strange was introduced in the self titled film and has been a pivotal aspect of the overarching Marvel cinematic storyline. During a speech for Cumberbatch’s receiving a star on Hollywood’s walk of fame, Kevin Feige went on to say, “To us and to millions around the globe, you deserve this honor for being the first, the best, the greatest and the only Doctor Stephen Strange.” The President continued, “Benedict has turned this character into an icon, appearing in a historic three of the top six films of all time.”

“It’s been quite a journey, I remember our very first meeting. … We wanted to pitch him this great character, and before we could he said, ‘So tell me about Doctor Strange,’ because somewhere you knew what this could be…You’ve always seen the tremendous potential in this character and because of that, you’ve become the anchor of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the only actor capable of guiding us through the madness of the Multiverse.”

Doctor Strange is the anchor literally and figuratively in this live action world of Marvel. With most of the original members of the Avengers out of the picture, there’s a new open spot for somebody to lead. Doctor Strange’s power dwarfs a lot of his comrades due to the large scale of responsibility placed on his shoulders. He will not only be an anchor as a leader or mentor for the upcoming younger heroes but he will also anchor the multiverse as it unravels following the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home

The Witcher Season 2 Wraps Filming

More than a year later The Witcher’s second season has finally wrapped! Production started last year in February of 2020 but was delayed due to the pandemic / lockdown. Production resumed in August of the same year but had to be stopped around November after a few crew / cast members tested positive for Covid. Now here we are today in the month of April, a year later and production has finished! Last season was met with some mixed reviews. Fans appeared to love the series while critics were conflicted. Some didn’t understand the storytelling with different “timelines” and it felt like there was a disconnect between the critics and the lore. Still The Witcher does a great job at getting you invested into the world, the acting is incredible and the production design is great; definitely worth the watch (also the combat is A1!).

Justice League Variant Cover Reveals Martian Manhunter’s ‘SnyderVerse’ Look

Justice League #59 received different variant covers for the upcoming issue that tease Martian Manhunter’s look for the upcoming Snyder cut of Justice League. It was revealed that Harry Lennix portrayed an undercover, J’onn J’onzz in the Man of Steel and was unable to reprise his role due to scheduling conflicts during the filming of the original Justice League. Now with the recent reshoots, Lennix was able to be apart of the new scenes that were filmed so here’s hoping that we get to see a live action portrayal of the alien superhero.

Regarding the variant cover, we get an idea of how J’onzz will look. He has a lot more of an angular look than the rounded look many are familiar with from the cartoons. This look appears to be more comic inspired which is a welcomed surprise for many. Justice League #59 will be released on March 16 which is two days before the Snyder cut releases. Take a look at the cover below and let us know your thoughts!

Joker’s New Look Revealed In Snyder Cut

Today we finally got a full look at Jared Leto’s new look in the upcoming Snyder cut of the Justice League movie! We see a more gothic look in these black and white photographs. Joker’s hair is longer, he looks more gritty and less “bedazzled” than the joker we saw in the recent Suicide Squad movie.

Jared Leto has been in the middle of a rough career with this character. From the outside looking in, it looks as though he dedicated a lot of his time towards bringing this character to life only to not have seen the fruits of that labor. A lot of his scenes were cut from the Suicide Squad movie, fans were disappointed with the direction of the character and the joker movie that got praised was from a completely different actor. It’s no wonder Leto jumped ship to marvel and played a different “villain” in the character of Morbius.

Only time will tell if Leto’s portrayal will be worth the wait but based on these images as well as the recent news that the Snyder cut will be R rated, shows that we will be in for a dark / grounded DC movie. Hopefully we all get what we’ve been waiting for and hopefully the success of this movie will cause a continuation of this timeline as well as more creative control for the directors. Only time will tell!

Fortnite Getting The Flash Skin

Fortnite is getting another DC superhero skin for their battle royale game. This new skin is based on the scarlet speedster, The Flash. It looks to take a little bit of inspiration from the CW television series rather than the cinematic portrayal of Ezra Miller even though it’s not completely catering to the television version. More info below courtesy of Epic Games’ blog post:

Justice League Zack Snyder Confirms “Knightmare” Batman

Zack Snyder dropped another teaser for his much anticipated cut of the Justice League movie. The tease in topic is Ben Affleck’s Batman donning his “Knightmare” attire (trench coat, cowl, goggles, etc). He also confirmed that this was taken during his recent reshoots which in total wasn’t a large amount of new footage but there are about 150 minutes of unseen footage that we haven’t seen (this is assumed to have been previously recorded before his departure).

Fans may notice that the Knightmare scene was teased in Batman V Superman during Bruce’s nightmare where he saw a post apocalyptic world where in which Superman became corrupt and Darkseid’s army has swarmed the world. The nightmare ends with Flash coming back from the future trying to warn Bruce that he was “always right about him”. Zack said this was meant to set up Justice League which is why many were disappointed to see it not pan out in Joss Whedon’s cut of the movie as it had set the bar for something that fans had wanted to see.

War Machine’s Series Will Address [That] Death…

WARNING: SPOILERS FOR AVENGERS ENDGAME

The upcoming Disney plus series focused on War Machine, Armor Wars, will address Tony’s death in Endgame. The upcoming series will be focused on the aftermath of Endgame and the fallout of Stark’s new technology being used with bad intentions.

“It’s really a fun and interesting and, by all imagination, completely open-ended — this can go anywhere… It’s great. I can’t wait to get in the room with the writers and figure out how all those things (connecting Armor Wars to the MCU) happen.”

Don Cheadle also dropped a minor spoiler about his character appearing in another MCU project but for those who would like to be surprised we will leave it out of this article. For those that want to see it, it’s not hard to find!

Face-off Against The Mandalorian In New Fortnite Event

(Beskar is the metal that the Mandalorian himself wears for his suit which keeps him protected during combat).

Mass Effect: Legendary Edition Official Trailer

Today Bioware revealed official footage of the upcoming Mass Effect: Legendary Edition which comes with all three games in the original trilogy as well as all of the DLC and a new canon extended ending.

Project director, Mac Walters, said, “For the people who had an extended cut, that became the experience for them, and so that will be the experience for everyone who is playing the Legendary Edition as well… And ultimately…you finish a game and there are things you wish you had been able to do or things you want to add on, and to me that Extended Cut was that opportunity to add a little bit more love and a little bit more context around the ending. So to me that is part of the canon.”

Walters also added that not only will the all of DLC be added to this game but also small tweaks to gameplay including certain boss fights. For example, Walters talked about the fight against Asari Matriarch Benezia in Mass Effect 1.

“A lot of people were very frustrated due to a number of things: there’s the lack of cover in that fight so you’re constantly getting flanked; her ability to almost immobilize you almost right off the bat… So tuning some of those. Not so much that the fight isn’t still a hard fight — it should be a hard fight — but just so that you couldn’t be knocked completely on your back right away.

“And also, just on the frustration side of it, adding in discrete autosaves at certain points as well. I believe in that one specifically you had to backtrack quite a ways if you lost that fight, and now if you lose it first time, you just start over with the fight; you don’t have to go through all the scenes. So things like that. And then it would vary depending on the boss fight what we would try to do, a lot of times it’s around just making sure the player has enough cover and then tuning things accordingly.”

Finally, BioWare also announced that this collection will be available on May 14th, 2021 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. There are currently no plans for a dedicated next-gen release or optimization patch. This game will have a better framerate and 4K Ultra HD optimization. It’s available for pre-order right now and check out the trailer below!

Joker’s New Look Teased In Snyder Cut Photo

Zack Snyder dropped a teaser of what fans can expect to see Joker look like in his upcoming cut of the Justice League movie. Check out the image below as well as the tweet!

His hair appears to be longer than what we saw in the Suicide Squad movie but one thing is clear is his trademark joker card. It’s also worth pointing out that he’s wearing scrubs or rubber gloves which might point to a hospital or chemical facility. Regardless this builds anticipation for the long awaited Snyder Cut Justice League movie!!!
