Actress Jeanette Maus Passes Away At 39
Since we’ve been heavily covering Resident Evil 8: Village as of late, it would be disrespectful if we didn’t acknowledge the passing of one of the game’s voice actors, Jeanette Maus. Maus portrays one of the antagonists of the game. Based on the trailers and promotional footage, her performance was incredible and captured the essence of fear that the characters bring.
It was reported that Maus had a eight month long battle with colon cancer despite having a well decorated portfolio. She was an actress, teacher and mentor receiving respect in all three. The official statement from the place in which she taught, John Rosenfeld Studios, said, “Jeanette was truly an artist and felt truly grateful to live as an artist. She had an indomitable spirit and was hungry to be the best person, the best teacher, the best friend, and the best actor she could be. The world lost a force of nature, and we will be feeling that for a long time”.
Besides Resident Evil 8: Village, Maus also acted in Charm City Kings (2020), Dismissed (2017) and Your Sister’s Siter (2011). If you wish to check out her work and support, the link to her IMDB is here: https://www.imdb.com/name/nm2143687/ As well as the official statement put out by Capcom along with a picture of the character she portrays in Resident Evil (below):
We here at Capcom R&D 1 are deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Jeanette Maus, the talented actress who helped bring several different characters, including our witches to the world in Resident Evil Village. Our hearts go out to her family and loved ones.
